The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve is a blend of whisky from a variety of traditional aged oak casks, embodying the freedom that Smith originally envisioned. Adding a contemporary twist to the flavor profile, whisky from these aged oak casks is married with selections from American first-fill oak casks. These are casks that haven’t been used previously to mature whisky.

The selective use of these casks imparts a smooth, creamy sweetness to the whisky. This sweetness harmonizes beautifully with the delicate flavors and complex fruity tones already present in the spirit. The whisky carries delicate aromas of citrus fruit, notably orange, and offers fruit notes of zesty oranges and pears, with a hint of toffee apples.
